The Signal
Science fiction thriller film, The Signal may be a under-the-radar movie hitting theaters this weekend. Receiving multiple great reviews at the Sundance Film Festival earlier this year in January, The Signal stars Laurence Fishburne, Olivia Cooke, and Brenton Thwaites among others. The plot centers on main star Nic (Thwaites) taking a road trip with two of his best friends from MIT through Nevada. Cooke plays the role of Hailey and his girlfriend, along with his other friend Johnah (Beau Knapp). After an awkward confrontation during their journey, the trio discovers themselves being part of a deeper plot in an isolated area by computer geniuses. Fans of sci-fi films and thrillers should be intrigued to at least give The Signal a second look, based on our assumptions from reading multiple reviews and its overall positive response.
