Independence Day: Resurgence
With the fourth of July nearing in a few days, 20th Century Fox is looking to strike big this summer with Independence Day: Resurgence. The sequel to the original 1996 release, unfortunately doesn’t see Will Smith reprising his role from twenty years ago, but he’s given a blessing to the project. Starring Liam Hemsworth, Jeff Goldblum, Bill Pullman, Jessie Usher, Maika Monroe, Sela Ward and William Fichtner – the film centers on a 3000-mile-wide mother ship that’s slowly approaching earth. As satellite engineer David Levinson is luckily prepared this time with technology for extraterrestrial defense against UFO’s to avoid another alien invasion. However, when the invaders attack the world, the fate of humanity is up to Presidents from around the world, scientists and fighter pilots in the science fiction alternate history disaster film. With a notable cast and promotions across the entire country, it’s safe to say that this is a must-see film tonight in IMAX 3D.
