Edge of Tomorrow
Taking a brief break from the Mission: Impossible series (another one currently filming), Tom Cruise returns in the action/sci-fi film Edge of Tomorrow. Starring alongside Emily Blunt, Brendan Gleeson and Bill Paxton, Cruise takes the role of Lt. Col. Bill Cage, an officer that that finds himself at heart of a suicide mission. The catch to the film however is he’s thrown into a time loop by the government forced to live the same brutal combat battle over and over again (sound familiar?). While Billy Cage is trying to figure out the source code to the actions, his abilities drastically increase each time he gets closer to defeating the enemy.
The plot is pretty simple, but surprisingly has been getting extremely good reviews from media and fans. Longtime fans of Tom Cruise will get to enjoy another action-packed film with effects and situations in Edge of Tomorrow.
