Obvious Child
Our girl Jenny Slate finally hits the big screen after years of working in the underground scene from a brief SNL stint to being featured on House of Cards, Hello Ladies and even GIRLS. She also has a new comedy series on FX premiering next month in July entitled Married. Tonight, she starts in her first starring role in Obvious Child, assuming the role of a 20-year-old comedian by the name of Donna Stern. In the film, she encounters an unplanned pregnancy, which she must face a harsh reality of independence and woman for the first time in her life.
During January’s Sundance Film Festival, the film received mostly positive reviews which promoted its studio to properly prepare the movie for a worldwide release. If you’ve the big blockbusters in theaters and are looking for time to spare before Sunday’s game 2 of the NBA Finals, the comedy drama Obvious Child is something we’d recommend.
