Midnight Special
Since gaining notoriety last month at the 66th annual Berlin International Film Festival, we’ve kept tabs on Warner Bros. Pictures’ latest acquisition, Midnight Special. Much like the previous film, we have another science-fiction drama hitting the big screen tonight, as the project stars Adam Driver, Michael Shannon, Kirsten Dunst, and Joel Edgerton.
With both critics and movie goers most approving the project, luckily, the $18 million budged film luckily sees a stateside rollout. The film centers on a father by the name of Roy, who’s eight-year-old son Alton has a special gift of possessing powers. However, the government and a group of religious extremists believe young Alton is a threat to society, as Roy is joined by his ex-wife Sarah and friend Lucas to ensure the boy’s safety. While the full-on chase has imminent danger looming, the hunt in the late hours could create a world-changing event.
