Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Normally, when we think of Tina Fey, it’s normally for a comedy-driven mature film. But now, the veteran writer-producer-actor steps out of her shell a bit to star in the new war comedy film, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot. Also starring Margot Robbie, Martin Freeman, Christopher Abbott, Alfred Molina and Billy Bob Thornton – Fey assumes the role of war correspondent Kim Baker, who develops a rather unusual relationship with a fellow journalist from Scotland, Iain MacKelpie.
While doing coverage of Operation Enduring Freedom in Afghanistan and Pakistan, Kim finds herself in an out-of-control-war zone, which the new relationship with Iain may be the only thing saving her sanity and life in the new daring assignment. We’re not sure why this project didn’t release around a national holiday, but we’re hopeful it doesn’t go under-the-radar – at least for the actor’s sake.
