Manhattan Night
Any film starring our girl Yvonne Strahovski is normally something we make time out to see, and Manhattan Night is no exception. Also starring the likes of Adrien Brody, Jennifer Beals, Campbell Scott, Linda Lavin and Steven Berkoff – the new nearly 2-hour affair is based on Collin Harrison’s original acclaimed novel and is finally brought to life tonight.
The mystery-crime film centers on a tabloid writer by the name of Porter Wren, who has an appetite for scandals – including selling anything that passes for the truth. Whether its murder or tragedy, nothing seems off limits for Porter, who has a loving wife and children and at home he has to provide for. That’s until, he meets a seductive stranger to help him solve a murder, which he uses his other head to temptation to assist Caroline in finding justice for her slain husband.
The deeper the two get with finding information for her former filmmaker husband, the deeper in trouble Mr. Wren gets into from Caroline’s sexual obsession and blackmail. With his married life, family and job all threatened, Porter might create the real life crime he’s always looking for.
