Devil’s Knot
Serving as one of the biggest movies at last Septembers 2013 Toronto International Film Festival, Devil’s Knot finally releases tonight. Although we’re only seeing it select theaters, those of you with video on demand will not be out of the loop for the biographical crime-drama thriller film. Set in 1993, Devil’s knot centers on three 8-year-old boys in West Memphis, Arkansas who go missing from their neighborhood.
Following a search, their bodies turn up the next day with their local community and police department convinced the murders were the work of a satanic cult. Three teenagers are arrested a month later and are suspected of the crime, with one confessing to the crime after a few hours of interrogation. One is sentenced to death, while the others are placed in prison for life, still claiming their innocence.
