LISTENING
One of the most interesting releasing this entire summer/fall is listening. The drama-thriller with sci-fi elements immediately grabs your attention in the trailer above, which sadly has gone under-the-radar against other new releases this weekend. The Khalil Sullins-directed and produced project stars the likes of Thomas Stroppel, Artie Ahr, Amber Marie Bollinger, Christine Haeberman, and Steve Hanks. Some have even went to call this film a semi-Matrix using some elements from the legendary film series, but were not sure if the masses will catch-on in its initial box office releases.
The film focuses on a collective of grad students, who go beyond technology, humanity and control with a new mind-reading technology that essentially destroys their lives. A digital simultaneous or Netflix release would’ve been better in our opinion to ensure this gem doesn’t get overlooked, but we’ll wait until a few of our associates make time on foosball weekend to see.
