In the Heart of the Sea
Base on Nathaniel Philbrick’s 2000 real-life story of 1820, the historic tale of a crew stranded at sea for 90 days is finally brought to the big screen. Semi-inspired by Moby-Dick, the film stars Chris Hemsworth, Benjamin Walker, Cillian Murphy, Tom Holland, Ben Whishaw, and Brendan Gleeson.
Initially, the group of men are on a voyage thousands of miles away from their homes, but are a close encounter with a giant sperm whale, the crew becomes shipwrecked before resorting to South America. Following its Monday night premiere, Warner Bros. $100 million invested project hasn’t caught the buzz that most are looking for, which could unfortunately be another box office bust.
Luckily, they have a formidable cast of familiar faces to convey movie goers to take a second look.
