Equals
Nearly a year ago, indie-lovers were greeted with the world premiere of Equals at the Venice International Film Festival. However, stateside movie goers finally get their hands on the new science fiction dystopian romantic drama film, Equals. Starring Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart, the pair assumes the roles of Silas and Nia, who embark on an experience of forbidden and passionate romance. While this may sound dated on paper, the two are in a futuristic society, where emotions have been outlawed in an emotionless utopia. However, while trying to escape the mysterious disease, the two build tensions between themselves and society.
