New “Lufthansa Heist” Book Reveals John Gotti Killed Goodfellas’ Tommy DeSimone

Funny how? the story of Tommy DeSimone is finally public

With the 25th anniversary of the legendary Mafia film Goodfellas nearing, some important news regarding the mysterious death of Tommy DeVito (portrayed by Joe Pesci) surfaces. The real life Tommy DeSimone disappeared during January of 1979 and was never heard from again according to family and friends.

In a new tell-all-book by former mobster Henry Hill and journalist Daniel Simone titled The Lufthansa Heist finally gives some closest to him closure. After killing two made men, lifting his mask during the infamous $6 million Lufthansa heist and even trying to rape Hill’s wife at the time; John Gotti decided it was time for Tommy to die.

Hill also revealed the Dapper Don personally handed out the execution of the 28-year-old psychopath, which he used a silencer equipped Colt. 38 to shoot DeSimone three times in the skull. While Henry eventually had to live with the life scar of being a rat in Witness Protection Program for his family until his death in 2012, he explained finding out about the murder from former Gotti confidant, Sal Polisi.
