“Game of Thrones” Season 7 Has Been Delayed

Game of Thrones Season 6 Episode 7_01

If it wasn’t enough that we have to wait a whole year until the next season of Game of Thrones airs, there are more bad news. It seems as if the shortened Season 7 won’t be airing in April like usual. Showrunners David Benioff and D.B. Weiss revealed the fact that production has been delayed.

“We don’t have an air date yet, but this year will probably be a little bit later. We’re starting a bit later because at the end of this season, ‘winter is here,’ and that means that sunny weather doesn’t really serve our purposes any more. So we kind of pushed everything down the line so we could get some grim grey weather even in the sunnier places that we shoot.”

Add this to the fact that there are only 13 total episodes life (seven for Season 7 and six for Season 8) and it’s hard to accept that this is the beginning of the end.
