Banned anywhere NFL cameras are on
The NFL has made sure you know who they side with in certain areas of their business, now making BOSE one in the long list of partnerships the league has secured headed into the future.
In a new agreement with the NFL, the Beats by Dre empire has been removed from being seen anywhere the NFL is present. This stems from a deal they negotiated back in August, that still saw Beats headphones pop up during broadcast.
Colin Kaepernick, Richard Sherman and Cam Newton can still be sponsored by the headphone company, but they have to refrain from rocking the Beats during NFL hours.
The move gives BOSE an advantage in this specific sector, in an attempt to narrow the margin in sales between both companies. To help the cause, they have recruited the likes of Russell Wilson and Clay Matthews to sport their line of headphones.
It’s obvious this has something to do with the fact that Beats by Dre owns 61% of the marketshare in premium headphones. The takeover, the break’s over.
