In celebration of Chinese New Years, Nike SB tricks out their very popular high silhouette with a special colorway inspired by the red Chinese money envelope. In Chinese tradition, the red envelope represents good luck and is given as a New Years gift for good luck, Nike SB took the red/gold color scheme of the envelope, which is why the shoe is deemed the”Red Packet SB’s. The High’s consist of a premium suede/leather red upper with gold accents, they also feature a custom Chinese gold coin inspired lace locks and other gold detailing throughout the model.
