Although it may be hard to believe, the first season of HBO’s thriving television series Hello Ladies has finally come to an end, not long after its initial premiere in the late stages of September. Directed by and starring popular UK face Stephen Merchant (co-creator of The Office), the show portrays the life of a British male searching for love in the heart of Los Angeles, situated in the Hollywood Hills. Based on common experiences from Merchant himself, it turns out that the US city isn’t at its best when faced with a 6 ft 7 man with a dorky personality.
Are we hoping for a second series? We’re not so sure. As much as we thoroughly enjoyed the comedy, it seemed to end just how we hoped it would. Even though we did expect the finale to end somewhat with Stuart and Jessica together, we were anticipating a little more than watching a movie, which was further prevented by their dance scene during the penultimate episode.
We decided to select a few of our favorite moments and bring them together as a reminder of how the successfully awkward storyline unraveled.
