With the N.W.A. biopic Straight Outta Compton generating well over $200 million in domestic sales, Big Boi shared a tease regarding another hip-hop film for the masses. In a recent AMA session, the legendary Atlanta rapper revealed he and Andre 3000 were in preliminary discussion to legitimately create an official OutKast biopic. Prior to last year, the collective were on a six-year hiatus dating back to 2007, but reunited at the Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival in 2014.
In the midst of his Big Grams EP set to launch in a few weeks with Phantogram, Big Boi revealed he and his long-time cohort were discussing the possibility of the biopic last weekend during Labor Day.
While the details remain limited for the time being for the project, you can look for information to surface from reporters and fans that will be pressing the pair for answers in the coming months.
