Later this year, Los Angeles filmmaker Gia Coppola will be making her directorial debut with Palo Alto, which is based on James Franco’s book of the same name and may explain the marketing behind the actor’s communication with a 17-year old girl.
Starring the likes of James Franco, Emma Roberts and Val Kilmer, the film focuses on the coming of age within a young group of high school kids. From rebellious acts of alcohol, sex and pyrotechnics, the story is all about the relationships that come to be in the area of California, with one of the main occurrences being a school coach having an affair with a student. As well as the bold key roles, Dev Hynes aka Blood Orange composed the original score for the forthcoming release.
The motion picture will be hitting theaters on May 16th.
