Last month, skate/streetwear brand, ICECREAM released their capsule collection with iconic Nickelodeon cartoon SpongeBob SquarePants; where the brand put together a few pieces featuring graphics of some of the shows popular characters. The collection did really well, with majority of the offering selling out within hours online, making it another successful collaboration for IC.
ICECREAM founder, Pharrell sat down with Hypebeast at the IC x SpongeBob capsule collection launch event to talk about why and how the collaboration came together. Skateboard P speaks on his love for the animated series and becoming an instant fan of the show after his very first watch. P also compares the creative directions of both ICECREAM and SpongeBob SquarePants, letting us know that the two brands are one of a kind and will always do them regardless of naysayers.
