With The Hateful Eight nearing its official theatrical release next weekend, Quentin Tarantino took off his blazer to have a relaxed conversation with the King of All Media, Howard Stern. He was on the biggest career high to date for his western project, until 24 hours before his Stern interview. After learning about some Star Wars news, his good spirit for the holidays has disappeared.
Originally, Tarantino had a deal with Hollywood’s Cinerama Dome to exclusively showcase The Hateful Eight this Christmas Day and beyond. However, he stated Disney allegedly strong armed the cinema to showcase Star Wars: Episode VII, only, or else they would pull the film from its location.
The Force Awakens is set to surpass $250 million in revenue for the weekend alone, and C.D. had no choice but to back out of their original contract – leaving the cast and director of The Hateful Eight irate. Watch more on the story above, as Quentin gives his take on this alleged illegal practice.
