We were disappointed with season three of House of Cards. Going into season four, we knew the show had to step its game up before the series fell off the rails.
Although the new season wasn’t as amazing as the first two, it definitely wasn’t as disappointing as season three. Things managed to pick up. There was an unexpected death, some twists and turns, a new rival for the presidency, and shit got real for the Underwoods at the end.
The thing is, the plot twists weren’t super crazy. Jaws didn’t drop. It seemed like the show contained a steady level of suspense throughout the season and it never steered away from it.
With no insane cliff hanger leading into season five, we truly don’t know what to expect come next year. It seems like the real life presidential election is way more entertaining than anything Frank and Claire Underwood have to offer right now, but at least the show still has us interested for what’s on the way. Shit could still turn sour and go in a direction we never imagined.
With that said, there are some questions we have after watching season four.
