You knew this but RDJ made it public.
With the exception of Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, the biggest superhero film releasing next year, is Captain America: Civil War. The project, which official begins phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, has slowly revealed plot details about the war between Iron Man and Captain America.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Robert Downey Jr. joked about how he and Don Cheadle are now the old guys on set – with others moving on from the Marvel Comics. He went to say, “who thought that Falcon and Black Panther and Ant-Man and now Spider-Man? I mean it’s like wow, this thing is just crazy.” After the accidental slip-up, Chris Evans (Captain America) tried to save face revealing that Marvel sometimes shoots things they won’t use.
While that’s highly unlikely for Peter Parker in this upcoming blockbuster, we’re sure Marvel Comics wasn’t thrilled about this premature leak from Iron Man. Look for another trailer for Captain America: Civil War to arrive, before it opens in theaters on May 6, 2016.
