In promotion for her upcoming film Cesar Chavez alongside Michael Peña and America Ferrera, the lovely Rosario Dawson made her way to Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Austin at SXSW 2014. The two discussed her growing up in Texas, revealing she lived in a small suburb of Dallas during a brief period of her childhood.
She then touched on the 20th anniversary of her film for K.I.D.S. and the upcoming summer sequel, Sin City: A Dame to Kill For. On the topic of Cesar Chavez, Rosario took her role of Dolores Huerta very serious, with the blessing of Ms. Huerta herself.
If you haven’t watched the trailer yet, the film sheds light on 1950s-70s both civil and women’s rights for Latin America among others. Following the SXSW screening earlier, Dolores did a non-official audio commentary during their sit-down for the film and had Rosario laughing in tears the entire time. Check below for the full interview and then look for Cesar Chavez in theaters worldwide on March 28th.
