We just wanted to see what the Samsung Galaxy S5 was about so we tuned in to the live-stream they had available earlier, but for whatever reason, Samsung wanted to kick off their press conference earlier with an orchestra (we don’t get it either).
Shortly after, they nosedived right into the presentation of their flagship model and gave fans across the world details about the upcoming Galaxy S5 phone and all its capabilities. Samsung wanted to focus on the consumers, bringing a device with suggestions they wanted this time around. The main theme of the conference was connectivity, a great camera, the fastest network, protection, the new design and staying fit.

Camera
– Will feature Fast Auto Focus.
– Selective focus will bring things to the forefront like a DSLR.
– New High Dynamic Range feature (will also work for videos) and capture pictures with rich, more vibrant colors, exactly like you see them in real life.
– Their hybrid auto-focus will take pictures in up to three seconds, the fastest ever seen on a smart phone.
Design
– A perforating design will give the back cover some glimmer and the device will come in different colors tailored to your personal preference.
– The S5 will feature the new KitKat UX.
– A 5.1 Super HD display with active sensor will modify to your surroundings depending on the brightness of the sun or darkness of a room.
– Battery life is significantly improved and will handle up to 10 hours of web surfing on LTE and 12 hours of video playback.
– The first ever smartphone with heart rate censor.
Protection
– Samsung KNOX equipped
– The phone will be water and dust resistant.
– Fingerprint scanning for your safety and/or convenience when it comes to paying for things online.
– Ultra Power Saving Mode will give users 24 hours of extra battery life in standby after reaching 10% on their device.
Network
– Full LTE coverage
– Download booster that can grab 1GB in about 30 seconds
Staying Fit
– New UX with touch screen and home button.
– Galaxy Gear products will synch across the plethora of Samsung Galaxy devices.
– Option of saving up to 4GB’s worth of playlists from your phone to play music while you work out.
