“DOES. HE. LOOK. LIKE A BITCH?!”
Samuel L. Jackson’s Ezekiel 25:17 speech in Pulp Fiction has to be one of the greatest of all time and to this day, not a day goes by where he won’t be asked about it. Almost 20 years after the fact, he still knows it to the T, because during his The Graham Norton Show visit, he was put to the test and asked to recite it.
Not using as much emotion as he did in the original, Samuel L. still knew the Bible passage word for word, even if he did try to rush through it. It lowkey sounded soulness, but he raised his voice a bit during “furious anger.”
Turn up for what?
“The path of the righteous man is beset on all sides by the inequities of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he who, in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of the darkness, for he is truly his brother’s keeper and the finder of lost children. And I will strike down upon thee with great vengeance and furious anger those who attempt to poison and destroy my brothers. And you will know my name is the Lord when I lay My vengeance upon thee.“
