Every show has to come to an end at some point and it looks like the finish line for HBO’s GIRLS is finally coming. HBO has announced that the hit TV series will be closing up shop after season six, with the show making the last of its run in 2017.
Lena Dunham teased the fact she wanted the show to end after season 6 in a few interviews in the past (so it didn’t fall into the “past their due date” black hole) and it looks like she got her wish. Now you can sulk in the fact that this is the beginning of the end for the weird dynamic of friends Hannah, Marnie, Shosh, and Jessa. Not until next year, though.
Season 5 is still on deck and will premiere on February 21.
