Selena makes a return to the small screen in 2016 for Netflix!
Since leaving her Disney roots behind in 2012, Selena Gomez has transitioned her acting career to film projects like Spring Breakers and Hotel Translyvania. However, the pop-singer is set to return to the small screen in 2016, as Netflix has given the young-adult novel, 13 Reasons Why, an official green light. The 13-episode order, will see Selena assuming the role of Hanna Barker, a teenage high school student who committed suicide. Through each episode, we’ll get a look at at series of tapes Hanna left behind in chain-letter form, to explain the thirteen people who played a role in her death.
Along with help from Mandy Teefey, Kristel Laiblin and Anonymous Content – Gomez will also be executive producing the drama series for the streaming giant. 13 Reasons Why will join Netflix originals House of Cards, Narcos, Bloodline, Sense8, Daredevil and Jessica Jones for its premiere sometime in 2016.
