NBC wants Seth and Lester Holt to be the new Jimmy Fallon and Brian Williams, but it’s… not going to happen!
A few days ago, NBC announced Seth Meyers would be the host for their upcoming 66th Primetime Emmy Awards in Los Angeles this August 25th. With Seth following the footsteps of Jimmy Fallon, the network decided to pair him up with Lester Holt (Nightly News and NBC Today anchor) with hopes of creating a Fallon and Brian Williams-like bond in the hilarious clip dubbed “Forced Friendship.” With Lester channeling his serious anchor monotone character throughout the clip, the two share some quality time at 30 Rock, Bryant Park and Stomp theater to learn more about each other. They also discuss their favorite TV series, have lunch and even cap of the affair with a carousel ride, which happens to ironically be Lester’s idea.
