We had a feeling this was coming, especially by the way Season 4 of Masters of Sex ended. It seems like ratings had been on the decline and the plot was confusing, in terms of where they were taking things in the Virginia and Bill storyline.
If you watched the season finale a few weeks ago, it surely seemed like a series finale.

Although we didn’t get closure on Betty and there were some loose ends in terms of the Masters’ marriage, we are fairly satisfied with the ending. The seasons have been falling off at the tailend of the series, though. We’ll miss Masters of Sex, but we’re fine with the finale.
