Cord cutters rejoice!

It was only a matter of time before HBO‘s unprecedented cord-cutting service would topple the dominos and make everyone jump on the ship. Only a few days after announcing HBO Now‘s partnership with Apple TV, Showtime is now headed into that direction, announcing that they will be starting a standalone service in the near future.

CBS chief Les Moonves told the Internet & Telecom Conference that the floodgates are now open and the service will be available in the not-too-distant future.

CBS actually launched their own subscription service back in October (CBS All Access), which has been doing well according to Moonves, with almost 100,000 subscribers to date. The service allows you to watch your favorite CBS shows and live TV from your computer, tablet or phone and costs only $5.99 a month.
