Bad news for Playstation VUE subscribers surfaced today. Well, at least for those who watch a lot of Comedy Central, MTV, Spike, Nickelodeon and BET. Starting on November 11 at 12:01 EST, you will notice VIACOM channels missing from your lineup and guide. There is a handful of networks that will be affected and those with kids, might be most salty.
Their reasoning? To provide better value for customers.
“As part of our ongoing evaluation of the PlayStation Vue offering, we have determined that removing the bundle of channels from Viacom is the best way for us to continue to offer the most compelling value to our fans.”
The good news is that PSVUE is adding a few channels to make up for it. BBC America, VICE and NBA TV are launching tomorrow, with local stations from FOX and CBS to come soon. This comes after Sony added HBO and Cinemax ala carte to their lineup and PC/Mac viewing options last week.
