With little to no information on the production itself, it’s now been revealed that Spike Lee is currently in talks to direct upcoming film Spinning Gold, which will act as a biopic for Neil Bogart. The producer and record label founder is well-known for making some of the most powerful moves during his reign in the ’90s, with his son Tim Bogart expected to act as a core writer for the initial script, with Justin Timberlake set to take the film’s leading role. Bogart’s life follows the story of growing up from a young age with a notable lack of money, then rising to become one of the most influential pop figures of his time, finding key artists such as Curtis Mayfield, Bill Withers, Donna Summer and many others.
