Masters of Sex
We boarded the Masters of Sex train kind of late, but we made up for it this season. Catching up on season one right up until the premiere of season two, It seemed like Bill Masters and Virginia Johnson had that “us against the world” mentality. It heightened in season two, to the point that each made grave mistakes in their personal life. Everything came second to their work and getting published. We’d be pretty stoked too, if we were advancing science in the field of sex studies.
The two also seemed to move a little closer thanks to Bill’s problems, even though much of their relationship was a secret.
Libby Masters went from being our most hated character to actually becoming one of our favorites at the end of the season (she also came into womanhood again?), once she dropped that “I live in the suburbs. I’m better than you” act. Good Lord did she get fucked at the end. Literally.
With Bill’s professional life going through the toilet, we can’t wait to see how he overcomes it all. Virginia is definitely the rock in his life. She’s one of our favorite female characters in all of TV and we would be lying if we didn’t say we weren’t crushing on her.
