Marry Me

Over the last few years, NBC has been looking for a flagship show to replace 30 Rock. With Parks and Recreation coming to an end in a few weeks, Mary Me has been one of the new standout series to grace screens this fall. It’s no secret that we really miss Happy Endings, but previous show creator David Caspe has given the peacock network a rare gem with help from his wife and show star Casey Wilson. Without putting too much emphasis on the show’s background, the quirky collective of friends based in Chicago has provided some over-the-top hilarity and some dry humor that’s seriously been missing on TV. Along with witty writing that may go over the heads of some, the dynamics of an 30-year-old male (Gil) who needs help to overcome a messy divorce, Kay always trying to get laid and the always sexy Dennah compliments Annie and Jake’s journey to their final two words.
