“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Official Movie Trailer

Welcome to Star Wars Episode 7!

Arguably the biggest release this entire year, is Walt Disney’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens. The $200 million budgeted project is set to recoup its investment in 24 hours, so you can expect the epic space opera motion picture to surpass Jurassic World as the highest grosser for the year.

Challenging Avatar and Titanic as the biggest film of all time remains to be seen, as the main entry of the saga series sees its first release in over a decade; and is been something fans have been waiting for since Revenge of the Sith. So now, we’re introduced to the long-awaited and overdue trailer for Episode 7. It was so big, that Disney and LucasFilm decided to premiere during halftime of ESPN’s Monday Night Football game between the New York Giants and Philadelphia Eagles.

In the extended video above, we get a proper re-introduction to the galaxy 30 years after the events of Return of the Jedi. Featuring Han Solo, Rey, Darth Vader, Finn (alongside the epic lightsaber) and Princess Leia, we get a look at the explosive action – including a first look at new antagonist Kylo Ren causing much havoc. While Luke Skywalker was nowhere to be seen, or this month after the poster reveal below, we’re sure the George Lucas creation will have another extended preview featuring the popular Jedi Knight in the weeks to come before its holiday roll out.

Look for Star Wars: Episode VII in theaters this December 18, 2015.
