Although the much talked about debate of Steve Carell returning for the final episode of The Office was pushed aside, it seems that we may well be in for a surprise against all odds. After leaving the programme back in the late stages of season seven, there has arguably been a significant downfall in terms of comedy value and overall attraction.
To this day, Michael Scott still remains as one of television’s greatest characters, and is set to return for the finale of the entire show, even if the position is more of a cameo than a major role. The news differs to when Carell originally left the show, insisting that he had left in the best possible way by discounting any future return.
