In light of the recently released capsule collection, California-based streetwear pioneers, Stussy has put together a documentary giving us a closer look into the legacy of iconic hip hop show YO! MTV Raps. Stussy takes us behind the scenes of the classic show, getting very in-depth interviews with some of the creators and directors who give insight on putting together one of rap music’s television blueprints.
We also get some testimonies from a few artist in the game who came up watching the show, and a couple who’ve appeared on the show, sharing stories of their experience and some of the classic moments. Stussy also shows love to the fashion side of things, taking a trip back revisiting some clothing trends and brands, and pay homage to some of the OG trendsetters such as Rakim, Run DMC, Big Daddy Kane, and many more.
