Although the film may be on many radars already due to several early premieres across the world, Tar is certainly one of the most interesting productions as of late, which was written and directed by James Franco’s class of 12 students.
With the inclusion of notable names such as Franco himself, Mila Kunis, Jessica Chastain, Zach Braff and Henry Hopper, the movie takes on several stages of C. K. Williams’s life told through poems of his own. Much like Terrence Malick’s 2011 film The Tree Of Life, the non-chronological storyline gives viewers a taste of the poet’s childhood, teenage life leading onto college, settling down with his wife and eventually having children.
No date has currently been set for a widescale release.
