Last year when Jordan Brand unveiled the Air Jordan XX8, they received a lot of backlash because of the silhouettes design, being the first Air Jordan model to feature a complete zip upper. Throughout the 2012-2013 NBA season, many players reported that the XX8 was in fact one of the best shoes they’ve ever took the hardwood in, with some putting the shoe as one of the best on-court sneakers of the year. Although the XX8 wasn’t everyone’s favorite Jordan in terms of looks, the shoes still managed to be on top of everyone’s list as the must-cop basketball shoe that everyone should have in their collection.
For the fans who aren’t to sold on shoes with zippers, Jordan Brand introduces the XX8 SE, giving us another rendition of the silhouette without the zip cover. The SE features all the same custom technology from the original, such as the Jordan flight plate and zoom unit, which helps for the best on-court experience.
The Air Jordan XX8 SE are available now over at the Nike online shop in three camo colorways such as Navy blue, Carolina blue, and Army green. Additional colorways will be up for purchase October 23rd. Check out detailed images below.
