Based on Fyodor Dostoyevsky’s book of the same name, an upcoming comedy titled The Double is expected to be one of the most interesting films of the year, due to director Richard Ayoade’s previous roles in films such as Submarine and episodes in shows that include Community.
Starring the likes of Jesse Eisenberg, Mia Wasikowska and Wallace Shawn, the film follows the story of a man who who unusually finds the exact double of himself when arriving at a work on a regular day, leading onto obvious psychiatric trouble. The ghostly clone happens to put the original character through the pain of not being as successful and self-reliant as himself, which adds to the daily humility that the boss provides.
Although there’s currently no theatrical release date yet, we’re certainly intrigued.
