Richard, The Shy Lover
It’s a thing line, between cute and awkward between these two. As much as you want Richard to win and fall in love with Julia, you can tell his insecurities prevent anything from moving to the next level. It’s like his self-consciousness about his looks always gets in the way of what could be, even IF SHE LIKES HIM BACK. He always second guesses.
Thank God they got past all of that now and Richard can now live out his dream of having a beautiful wife and family. Both could provide a stable life for Tommy.
