We know that about halfway through watching The Prince trailer, you’re going to wonder why this story line sounds so familiar. It’s probably because it’s all too similar, since Liam Neeson made an entire blockbuster series out of it. Except this time, Jason Patric (nickname “The Prince”) is trying to find his daughter because Bruce Willis decided to get revenge from a two decade old grudge. Oh yeah, the kid 50 Cent is in the movie playing a bad guy helping hold shorty at ransom too.
Basically it’s Taken 1.5 with a different cast and background story. Fathers are still traveling to the ends of the earth to find their daughters.
The Brian A. Miller-directed crime film also stars John Cusack and Jessica Lowndes as the lead female role and is due out in theaters August 22.
