Best known for directing the critically acclaimed Animal Kingdom in 2010, Sydney native David Michôd will be releasing his next film titled The Rover later this year.
The upcoming movie will star the likes of Guy Pearce, Robert Pattinson and Scoot McNairy in a story based around life in an Australian desert, set in the not too distant future. When a man’s last possessions are stolen by a bunch of criminals, 10 years after the downfall of the nearby economic system, he and one of the gang’s former members have no choice but to hunt down those responsible.
The film will be making its way to theaters on June 12th.
