If you’re looking for an enticing drama-thriller over the next few months, look no further than The Truth About Emanuel, which was created by Italian director Francesca Gregorini.
Starring the likes of Jessica Biel, Kaya Scodelario, Alfred Molina and Frances O’Connor, the plot follows the story of a teenage girl whose mother died while giving birth to her, leaving her without a mother-like figure for the entirety of her life, with her stepmother not taking to her likening. When a woman with a young child becomes a neighbor, the teenanger takes upon the opportunity of a babysitting job. As she and the mother grow closer, there becomes a striking confusion based on similarity with the girl’s actual mother, and matters become not so smooth over the process.
Expect the film to reach theaters on January 10th next year.
