So, earlier today, Instagram updated their app to the new (and improved?) IG 3.0 to its 80 million users. Now that they have some cash to kick around after Facebook bought them, they thought making changes and adding this Photo Map feature would revolutionize the way we share pictures with everyone else across the face of the planet.
For those who like to Insta-snitch on themselves by tagging every place they’ve been, well, aren’t you such a happy camper? For the rest of us who struggle with tagging every location (or don’t, by choice), welcome to another headache. IG figures this feature will make it better to search pictures you might want to look at, by region and swift through your friends profiles to see what places they’ve been.

Besides this struggle update, they’ve done some minor updates to other parts of the app, including the automatic scroll when you’re looking at past pictures, a refreshed look at your profile page and a few tweaks to the “add picture” page.
