In 2009, Captain Chesley Sullenberger (also known as “Sully”) saved a plane from crashing by landing it on the Hudson River and successfully saving all 155 passengers on board.
From director Clint Eastwood (American Sniper, Million Dollar Baby) comes the untold story of the pilot, who is played by Tom Hanks and will tell his account of what happened that day. From double engine failure and a water landing that led it to be called the “Miracle on the Hudson,” to being proclaimed as a hero and then having his career and reputation ruined, the film will go deep inside the events before during and after.
Sully also stars like the likes of Aaron Eckhart, Jeff Skiles, Laura Linney and will be hitting theaters nationwide on September 9.
