Watch the debut trailer for Chris Rock’s new comedy ‘Top Five’
Yesterday, reports surfaced that Chris Rock would be returning to the place that birthed his career, SNL. While his long-awaited live sketch return won’t be seen until November 1st when he hosts the event with special musical guest Prince (of all people), the first official trailer for his Top Five film arrives.
Co-starring the always lovely Rosario Dawson, the new comedy movie co-produced by JAY Z & Kanye West was one of the standout presentations at the 2014 Toronto International Film Festival last month. The forthcoming Paramount Pictures-distributed project centers on a dated comedian by the name of Andre Allen (Rock), who’s on a mission to reinvent himself as a serious actor.
After an up and coming journalist by the name of Chelsea Brown (Dawson) agrees to interview him for the New Yorker, the two develop of a bond that’s set to change their careers and most of all lives forever. If you’re looking for a holiday comedy in a few weeks, rest assure Chris Rock will be proving plenty of hilarity this winter.
Look for Top Five to invade theaters this December 5, 2014 nationwide – also starring Gabrielle Union, Kevin Hart, Whoopi Goldberg, and fellow SNL alumni Tracy Morgan among many others.
