Remember last summer, when news surfaced that a Training Day series was in the works? Well, CBS has officially ordered a pilot episode for the classic cop drama tale of Los Angeles. While the original cast of Ethan Hawke and Denzel Washington aren’t likely to reprise themselves from the motion picture, the characters of Alonzo Harris and Jake Hoyt will return in the TV reboot in opposite roles. The small-screen revision of the 2001 film will be helmed by director Antoine Fuqua, with a former Los Angeles Police Department homicide detective writing the script.
