Mixed in with all the Super Bowl commercials last night was the first official look at Michael Bay’s next installment in the Transformers franchise. They are going in a new direction for Transformers: Age Of Extinction now that Mark Wahlberg is taking over the reigns. Though the trailer is under a minute long we still get our first look at the highly-anticipated Dinobots, and in the one clear view of them, we see legendary Transformer Optimus Prime riding a T-Rex and crashing through buildings.
With the last two films in the franchise being a bit of a disappointment, it is hard to gauge the expectations for this film, but the addition of Wahlberg should calm some doubts. With a July 10 release date, the movie will be in heavy contention to take home the elusive crown of blockbuster of the Summer.
