More magic from The Wire creator
It has been about seven years since the end of The Wire and David Simon‘s successful run of the show. Since then, he’s brought fans Treme and Generation Kill, and he’s getting ready to bring even more series to HBO.
The first is The Duece, which will star James Franco and be a story about New York City twins running through Times Square in the ’70s. The boys are in the pornography scene at the time and with that will come a lot of sex, drugs and mob dealings. Shit has the potential to be a very successful series if everything goes right.
The second show on the network doesn’t have a title yet, but will be a modern day Capitol Hill show, which he will work on with former The Wire collaborator Ed Burns.
If you’re trying to get your David Simon fix even sooner, mini-series Show Me A Hero will hit HBO on August 16.
